This ceremony is legally recognized from the American (US) law and Internationally. By the law the ceremony will be done in Spanish or English but don't' worry, we will provide a translator which will be there for you for all the other languages. Civil ceremonies are celebrated by the Official Judge of Playa del Carmen. You will receive the Spanish Wedding legal certificate. This certificate must be translated and registered once you are back home. Requirements for weddings between foreigners and Mexican nationals. 1. Original and copy of each party's birth certificate 2. Original and copy of foreigner's birth certificate translated by an authorized translation service (see your consul or contact your wedding planner or hotel concierge for contact information). 3. Original and copy of Mexican National's official identification with current photography and original passport and copy of foreigner. 4. Wedding permit for foreigner authorizing vows between foreigner and Mexican National from the state's Immigration office. 5. Original (certified) of prenuptial health certificates with blood type, venereal disease (including syphilis and HIV) and blood type (RH) dated no more than 15 days of the civil ceremony performed at a local Lab Facility. 6. Original and copy of each witnesses official identification. |

Requirements for weddings between foreigners. Four working days prior to the event, both participants should present: 1. Their "Tourist card" which is provided at the airport or point of entry. 2. Original and copy of each party's birth certificates translated by an authorized translation service (see your consul or contact your wedding planner for contact information) or Original passports and copies for both parties. 3. Original (certified) of prenuptial health certificates with blood type, venereal disease (including syphilis and HIV) and blood type (RH) dated no more than 15 days of the civil ceremony performed at a local Lab Facility. 4. Should either party be divorced or widowed, copies of each accrediting document. 5.
